This grand pendulum called "portico" of Louis XVI period has a rich decoration in gilded bronze, gray marble and white marble.
There is an eagle framed by two loves with garlands of flowers at the top.
Pilasters with busts of women wear the dial decorated with a trophy to musical instruments. On the sides of the pilasters there are cornucopias and cups with bouquets of flowers.
On the base there is a frieze "of children musicians" who play.
The pendulum takes the form of a sun.
