Lyre or "skeleton" clock (so called due to the visible mechanism). LateLouis XVI - Directory period (circa 1795-1800). In a lyre shape, our precious clock is crowned with an inflamed vase, laurel leaves and stays on satyr legs on a white marble pedestal. All around the lyre is punctuated with blue enamel pellets.
Superb mercury gilding in matt and shiny. Beautiful model, very finely executed with multiple qualitative details such as blue pellets.
