LIMOUSE Roger Marcel (1894-1990) Born October 19, 1894 in Collo (Algeria) Died in 1990 Active since 1919 in France Painter of animated compositions, figures, interiors, still lifes, flowers. Employee of the administration of Tunis, he left his job and the city in 1919, to come to study painting in the studio of P.A. Laurens, at the Julian Academy. He was admitted in 1922 to the contest of professorship of the schools of the City of Paris. He had the opportunity of many trips to Italy, Norway, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Morocco. He exhibited with the painters of Poetic Reality, notably in a retrospective collective exhibition in 1956. In 1933 he won the Viking Prize with crustaceans. He exhibited in Paris, the Salons of French Artists, Independents, Autumn and Tuileries. Museum: Paris (Museum of Modern Art)
