Transition Period Marquetry Commode, Circa 1775 - Stamped Ohneberg

Large satine and rosewood marquetry commode, chest of drawers, 18th century circa 1775.

Finely enhanced with ormolu decoration,grey marble. It bears the signature / stamp of a major Parisian cabinetmaker Martin Ohneberg, French cabinetmaker of German origins, used to work in Paris - France and was received master cabinetmaker in 1773.

Elegant shapes, perfect proportions, bright colors,top-of-the-range commode in excellent condition.

NB: We are going to offer soon a pair of corners by Martin Ohneberg that will make an excellent match with that chest of drawers.

Our piece is in excellent condition, completely restored as new.
