Pair of Louis XVI style cabriolets armchairs, finely carved wood gilded with gold leaf. Covered with a very luxurious Louis XVI style silk lampas (Tassinari and Chatel). Krieger stamp on each chair, late 19th century circa 1890.
Created by Antoine Krieger (1804-1869) in 1826 in Paris, Krieger is a very famous luxury manufacture of the late 19th century. He was supplier of many royal courts in Europe, high aristocracy and major fortunes of Europe. The company won a medal in London in 1852, was present at 1855 up to 1900 Universal Exhibitions.
Our armchairs were completely restored : antique gold leaf gilding that was cleaned by our restorer, upholstery remade as new, amazing Louis XVI style gold and red lampas (100% silk).
Our seats are a perfect illustration of the most refined French taste in use at the end of 19th century, perfect antique copy of the most refined 18th century productions.
