Elegant young Saint (Umbria, 14th century). Static, no draping, typical for early sculpture, yet with a serene smile on his lips. He has lost the attribute that he was holding in his right hand and, therefore, it is not possible to define which saint he is. The wood is 'cirmolo' or Swiss pine. Remains of original polychromy. Timeless beauty. Height 93cm x width 26cm x depth 28cm.
