Mid-19th century Gold brooch with agate cameo

Cameo on blue-gray agate featuring a young woman looking toward the right. The artist intricately sculpted the white vein of the agate to bring the delicate profile to life. The young woman represented in bust has hair up. Strands of her hair fall on her bust and are tied on her chest. The gold frame is decorated with a gold braid and half pearls.
