Post-Impressionist painter of Russian origin.
At 15, he joined the Moscow School and in 1909 he settled permanently in France. Dazzled by the beauty of Paris, he makes it his central subject, the boulevards and the Grands Cafés fascinate him.
Women in elegant outfits have a prominent place in his work.
In 2017, an exhibition is dedicated to him at the Fournaise de Chatou Museum.
