Travelling clock of small size, with day-of-the-month calendar, pull-repeat quarter strike and alarum, Switzerland, circa 1820. The movement is wound through the dial, verge escapement with vertical balance wheel situated at the rear, pull-repeat quarter strike on two bells on top, the pull-wind on the left, alarum with pull wind on the right. Enamel dial with Arabic numerals for the hours and the quarters, subsidiary for the day-of-the-month under the number 12. Breguet-style blued steel hands for the hours and the minutes, and arrow-style for the calendar. Brass hand for the setting of the alarum.
Brass case on four flat toupee feet, the rear door opens for access to the various adjustments, the front bezel opens for access to the hands and winding, very high curve domed glass.
