A very important brass and tortoiseshell inlaid bracket clock.
The figure of Time on the top is armed with his scythe, the front with relief cast figure of Apollo on the chariot of the sun. The door opens with a small key on the side operating the lock , the interior is richly decorated with Boulle marquetry . Ornamentation ormolu finely carved masks for decoration , female figures in the angles and eventful leaves. Beautiful dial ormolu twelve enamelled cartridges. Cartridge glazed facade and movement both signed " Duponchel in Paris ." The ring system consists of three bells on top and three bells above the movement. The movement strikes the hours , quarters and halfs. The movement is revised and functional.
