This refined coffee table was made in the era of Charles X, within the first half of the nineteenth century, in the area of Tuscany.
Made of cherry wood, it has a writing top with leather lining stamped and edged on the perimeter. On the front it is equipped with a drawer with brass lock and key with golden bronze palm. Along all four sides the table is slatted and decorated with fine inlay circular motifs. Very elegant supports in the shape of a lyre, carved and gilded wood, with cut acanthus leaves and other Phyto-morphic and geometric motifs. The lyre is composed of golden wooden sticks. The two supports are connected by a cross with full golden wood ferrets.
The table, being well finished on all four sides, it is possible to place it in the center of the rooms, in studios, living rooms, bedrooms. Very decorative and bright, it is easily combined with antique and modern furniture.
It needs some small restoration.
