Offered by Antiquités Art Nouveau
Spectacular presentation buffet in solid, molded and carved tamanou wood. The upper part features a curved cornice, molded and carved with sagittarius flowers, and opens with five glass doors and two niches. The lower part opens laterally through two full doors, three belted drawers and a large panelled niche, adorned with arched jambs. The doors are deeply molded, the panels are carved in high relief with flower baskets and stylized stems, and the drawers feature large ormolu handles. Remarkable craftsmanship and superb patina! Charles Plumet and Tony Selmersheim were both architects and decorators in Paris, members of the “L'art dans Tout” movement. Their association produced many important works, including part of the furniture for the Villa Demoiselle in Reims, and the furniture for the French Embassy in Vienna.
