Rectangular porcelain plaque depicting Hartenfels Castle in Torgau, Saxony. A Mecca for Protestantism where Martin Luther, Frederic Le Sage, Lucas Cranach and even Tsar Peter I of Russia were welcomed, this castle is the only one from the early German Renaissance to have survived.
