Wood, plant fiber
Height 70 cm
This Kanak wooden club is a typical example of the weapons and symbolic objects used by the indigenous peoples of New Caledonia. It is distinguished by its sculpted mushroom-shaped head, a characteristic motif of Kanak clubs, which served both martial and ritual purposes.
The piece is made of polished wood, displaying a beautiful patina, indicative of its age and use. The lower part is wrapped in plant fibers, reinforcing the grip while adding a decorative element.
