Pair of mixed metal vases, Japan Meiji period end of the 19th century

Bronze vases, inlaid with precious metals. The artist used all known Japanese alloys, shakudo, shibuichi, sentoku plus gold and silver. The decoration represents cranes in the middle of a lotus field. The whole is highly symbolic, the cranes of immortality and the lotuses of Buddhism.
Good condition. Height: 215mm.
