The table was initially a movable stand furniture, easy to build and disassemble. Most tables of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries are built according to the principle of the Roman cartibula : their board rests on two large supports joined by a spacer.
Here, three cut-out fans form the base. They are connected together by a particularly low spacer. The three supports end in gliders.
The top rests directly on the base. The long and narrow board allow to welcome many guests.
The pure and sober shapes of this table give it a great elegance.
