19th century Dutch torch holder stand

Torch holder stand in blackened, turned and marquetry wood.

The central shaft with an inverted torso between the upper and lower parts, rests on a tray (slightly warped) decorated with blackened wood molding framing a flower marquetry and bordered with an alternation of ebony and bone checkerboard.

We find on the tray this alternation which frames a very beautiful marquetry of flowers and foliage.
