Biography :
Ateliers Petitot was founded in Paris in 1860 by Eugène Petitot, who began producing standard lighting chandeliers for public buildings, particularly churches. However, the company soon specialized in luxury lighting for private customers, adapting to changing tastes until the 1920s, when they began to produce Art Deco lighting. Indeed, under the impetus of Henri Petitot (1914-1938), several of the company’s flagship models, such as white opal glass chandelier and patinated bronze wall sconces, were created. During this period, Atelier Petitot produced lightings that were both functional and aesthetically pleasing, combining geometric shapes, satin-finish glass and nickel-plated bronze. Petitot chandeliers stand out for their exceptional quality, meticulous finish and innovative design.
