Oil on canvas by Victor Brugairolles ( 1869 - 1936 ), a marine painter who exhibited at French artists' salons from 1892, his views of the French, Belgian and Dutch coasts were sought-after in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This view of a pretty sunset over the Dutch flatland recalls the paintings of the great Dutch masters of the 17th century, accompanied by French Impressionism.
