Netsuke – Turtles by Komin. A group of 3 turtles, one forming the base, the other two climbing on each other. Each shell and other details are very finely carved. Very beautiful color of the wood and nice natural patina. Signed Gyokumin in a reserve under the base. The himotoshi are circled with bones. 3 x 3.5 cm. Japan, Tokyo School. Edo (1603-1868) 19th century.
