An ivory okimono depicting a dancer from Noh theater, holding two fans in hand. Next to the dancer is a Noh mask, a fundamental element of Japanese theater.
Every element, from the dancer's posture to the fans and the folds of the kimono, conveys a sense of refinement.
Period: Meiji, late 19th century.
Dimensions: 13 x 10.5 x 5.5 cm.
Condition: Excellent. There is a small chip on the tip of the left sleeve and a retouching on the rear fan
