Spectacular case in Cuban mahogany, with a drawer in the front and a flap above.
The interior is lined with blue velvet.the top leaf is veneered with hard stone.rich ornamentation in chased and gilded bronze.the finesse of the chasing and the quality of the gilding recall the work of the finest bronze craftsmen of the period, notably Pierre-Philippe THOMIRE.the decoration features countless rinceaux, vine leaves, birds and cherubs' heads.
