Sea Lily 'Scyphocinites Elegans' (Silurian, approx. 400 million years)

Sea Lily Crinoid or 'Scyphocinites Elegans'. The Scyphocrinites crinoid was a floating variety which was attached to a holdfast air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx ("flower"). These crinoids have a bulbous calyx with incredible detail. Very fine structures in the stone. Great display piece.
