Pair of Medici vases in terracotta patinated in Pompeian red in the shape of an inverted bell, resting on a pedestal with a square base.
It is a krater vase which has two ringed handles, attached to the vase by satyr heads and arranged at the base of the belly. The upper edge of the krater flares into a molded rim.
The bell has grooves, acanthus leaves and gadroons.
The whole is placed on a square base and a gadrooned foot.
NB: good general condition, two pieces ,losses, restorations and wear tell its story.
