Round dish in lustre-ware from Manises, First half of the 16th century

Round Manises (Spain) earthenware dish with buff metallic lustre decoration of petals in alternating motifs on the wing around a large central medallion decorated with registers forming an alternating cross, stylised epigraphic cartouches and centred on an umbilicus in relief decorated with a fleur-de-lys.
First half of the 16th century. Diameter: 37.5 cm. Visible chips and wear. Small loss at the edge at 3 o'clock.
An example with similar decoration dating from the second quarter of the 16th century is in the Metropolitan Museum, New York.
