Rectangular in shape and reflecting the repertoire of neoclassical ornaments, the uprights are decorated with openwork laurel garlands and leafy branches. These branches and garlands start from the top and bottom of the mirror by small parecloses. We find them in the lower crosspiece of the mirror, tied in the middle of the mirror by a beautiful Louis XVI knot.
At the damping, a large basket of flowers decorated with gadroons is also framed by laurel garlands and oak branches and acorns.
The two-part mirror has a pretty mercury stain with some wear and iridescence.
Neoclassical work from the Louis XVI period, last quarter of the 18th century.
