Louis XV period chiffonnière coffee table, In highly contrasting veneer of rosewood and rosewood, with geometric decoration in frames. It opens with two drawers on the front and a drawer forming a writing desk on the side. The whole rests on four curved legs ending in small bronze sabots. Original Sainte Anne gray marble top. H 71cm; W 47cm; P 32cm Gaspard Feilt (Died March 30, 1763) - cabinetmaker of German origin, lived in Paris, rue de Charenton in 1753, enjoyed a certain notoriety if we judge by the names of some of the sponsors: the Count of Béthune, the Marshal of Broglie, the Bishop of Autun etc…. We have two inventories of his goods, which mention among his most remarkable works: A cabinet forming a paper holder, a desk, a chest of drawers in marquetry, The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, keeps a Louis XV flat desk inlaid with flowers.
