Young naiad, feminine divinity of rivers and springs, or perhaps in this case a young bather, sculpted in the round, in a relaxed attitude, her left arm raised above her head. She rests on a cloth or fabric placed on an architectural element representing the head of a sea monster, with two wings on either side.
The hole dug in the monster's mouth suggests that it was probably the top of a fountain.
Normal erosion of the piece, mainly due to its function; chip on the right of the fabric, but very nice appearance of the interestingly sized piece (length 0.64m).
