Louis XVI period living room in gilded wood composed of a sofa and a suite of four armchairs.
Curved convertible backrests in carved and gilded wood. The backrests are sculpted in tori of molded ribbons which join the armrests with scrolls and trimmed armrests.
The latter are supported by fluted balusters whose base is decorated with palmettes.
The belt is decorated with a frieze of tori of molded ribbons on three sides, which connects flowered connecting dice supporting the tapered legs with rudentate grooves.
Beautiful original gilding.
Work from the Louis XVI period attributed to Georges Jacob, a carpenter who became a master in 1765.
