Pair Of Lacquered Metal Plant Pots With Blue Background, Regency Period

A rare pair of lacquered sheet metal planters painted with a blue background from the Regency period. They present a decoration of Chinese characters, pagodas and animals in orange-brown colors on a blue lacquer background. Beautiful ornamentation of chiseled bronzes and gold varnish: they represent satyr heads with lifting handles taken inside their mouths.
