Adrian de Gryef is a landscape and still life painter. He is probably the student of Frans Snyders. He married in 1689 in Antwerp. He is cited as a master in Brussels in 1699. He is the creator of small-scale paintings with picturesque subjects featuring animals in outdoor landscapes decorated with trees and flowers, most often lit by setting suns.
