They are stamped “BELLANGÉ”.
Pierre-Antoine Bellangé 1758-1827 was a French cabinetmaker,official supplier to the First Empire and then to the Restoration.under the Restoration,he was awarded the title of “fournisseur breveté” (patented supplier).in 1817,he was commissioned by American President James Monroe to design the seats for the main salon of the White House.
