Louis XV solid mahogany chest of drawers, La Rochelle 18th century

A superb chest of drawers in solid Cuban mahogany, curved on the front and sides, opening to five drawers in three rows, with finely-molded applied drawer edges, strongly-curved decreused uprights ending in small scrolled feet, curved lower crosspieces with clear lower molding, and curved upper crosspieces on the sides.
The original mouldings are in thick fir and poplar, often used for Rochelais furniture.
It retains its original ormolu escutcheons, handles and rosettes, as well as three locks with their original keys.

Very good state of preservation, usual restorations carried out by an experienced cabinetmaker, waxed finish.
