Fine 17th Iznik Tangrad

MASRAPA* tankard, in siliceous ceramic from IZNIK, cylindrical shape with straight bent handle.
Polychrome decoration on white slip under transparent glaze, green leafy stems, tulips
blue and red florets. The edge and base are decorated with a geometric frieze.

Ottoman art.

Beginning of the 17th century.

Very good general condition, tiny chips, no restoration.

Foot diameter: 8 cm; Height: 15 cm; Width with handle: 10.5 cm.

*MASRAPA: small container with a handle, open mouth similar to a barrel.
