Frame cm. 68 x 61
Very good condition
Typical work of the Lombard Renaissance depicting the splendid image of the face of Christ the Savior, painted in an excellent manner.
The great portraiture ability of the Author is highlighted not only by a very high level pictorial technique, but also by a very refined use of colour. The extremely delicate shades blend perfectly with velvety tones, while the decisive use of contrasts between light and shadows favors the volumetric effect and reinforces the exciting sensation of humanity in Christ's penetrating gaze.
It is a table of considerable impact, with an exceptional visual result but above all full of an evident spiritual message.
The excellent conditions allow us to grasp every nuance in all its characteristics and the beautiful tabernacle frame with the finely sculpted caryatids on the sides completes the work in the best way.
