Mazarin desk with broken top, in native wood and ebony veneer, richly inlaid with arabesques and scrolls around ebony fillets.
It opens on the front with four drawers, two of which are recessed to form a window; at the top, a crosspiece simulating three drawers drops down to reveal a writing desk consisting of a pigeonhole surrounded on either side by two drawers; it is supported by eight column feet linked by a brace.
Beautiful ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes, draw handles, lock escutcheons crowned with a ducal crown. The back is veneered with geometric figures formed by wide ebony fillets.
Louis XIV period, good condition.
