A pair of Louis XVI-style gilt-bronze "au mufle" two-light wall-lights, late 19th Century, circa 1880, model of Jean-Joseph de Saint-Germain.
Size: height 50cm width 35 and 37cm.
A pair of three-branch wall lights of related design with similar lion's masks, urns and scrolling arms and laurel swags signed by the bronzier Jean-Joseph de Saint Germain is illustrated in Jean-Dominique Augarde, 'Jean-Joseph de Saint-Germain, Bronzier (1719-1791)', Connaissance des Arts, December 1996, p.78 fig.23.
