This Louis Seize wall table is signed with the stamp of Jean-Baptiste Boulard (1725-1789)
Jean-Bapriste Boulard was a cabinetmaker in Paris and became master cabinetmaker on 17 April, in the year 1755.
Early in his career, he made his furniture in Louis Quinze style. In the year 1777, he entered the king's service and specialised in the Louis Seize style. He was among one of the best Parisian cabinetmakers in the second half of the 18th century.
His furniture can be found in the chateau of Versailles and Fontainebleau, among others.
