Georges ADILON (Lyon, 1928 - id., 2009) - Vine and snow (1965)

Adilon studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyons, where he settled and has continued to work. He only took up painting towards the end of his time at art school. He was awarded the Grand Prix Othon Friesz in 1956 and has featured in several annual Salons in Paris. In 1990, the Brou museum in Bourg-en-Bresse mounted an exhibition of over a thousand of his paintings, all of which had been produced in the previous five years. The exhibition then transferred to Goppungen. Adilon also exhibited at Le Rectangle in Lyons in 2001.
