Odiot - Large solid silver dish from the Restoration period

Large oval-shaped solid silver serving dish with molded and foliated rim monogrammed MB in a chased escutcheon. This dish bears the 950-thousandth Michel Ange head mark (1819-1838) and the master goldsmith mark of the Maison Odiot in Paris, for Charles-Nicolas Odiot (1789-1869), the Paris large guarantee mark, and a bigorne against the cricket mark in a lozenge. Very fine quality dish, with wear scratches, from the Charles X Restoration period.
