Rare porcelain dish painted in cobalt blue under glass, decorated with flowers and phoenixes surrounding the characters V.O.C (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie (Dutch East India Company)) Arita Japan late 17th century. The compartmentalized decor is inspired by that of Chinese porcelain from the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century. The VOC mark was affixed to objects dedicated to important people in the company, captains, shipowners, etc. These are very rare objects. It is exceptional to come across porcelain in perfect condition like the one presented here. Perfect cooking, pernette marks below, no restoration or polishing. Excellent condition. Variable diameter between 355 and 350 mm.
