17th C wall sculpture in carved wood with traces of gilding and polychromy probably representing St Marc the Evangelist. Middle-aged man as for the face with marked winkles, he is dressed in the tunic and pallium, and holds in his left hand the book of Gospels on which he writes.
The enlived treatment of fabrics is typical of the 17th C Baroque period .
