Louis XVI work, attributed to Vassou.
The rectangular top, covered with gilded morocco and framed with violet wood, is surrounded by a gilded bronze ingot mold molded in bec-de-corbin.
The front opening with three drawers and three simulated drawers at the back are in rosewood surrounded by a boxwood net, on violet wood. Medallion keyholes decorated with chiseled garlands. The corners of the crosspieces are decorated with gilded bronze rosettes decorated with stylized acanthus leaves in a cross.
The sides bear two zippers trimmed with gilded leather with a small iron framed in violet wood.
It is supported by four sheathed feet with enveloping shoes and gilded bronze rings.
