Elegant mahogany and mahogany veneer console with rounded sides on an oak frame, opening to a drawer at the waist and resting on four tapered fluted legs, linked by a slightly curved spacer shelf at the front, white marble top with groove restored on one corner, pearled drawer rings and original bronze keyhole.

Fidelys SCHEY (-1788), received his master's diploma on February 5, 1777 and established on rue du faubourg Saint Antoine, his production included well-made Transitional and mainly Louis XVI furniture, but he was also capable of executing furniture of superior quality comparable to that of the best craftsmen of his time.
