Japan, Inro, ojime and manju, Edo period, early 19th century.
Inrô with sections in kinji lacquer, decorated in hira maki-e, takamaki-e and kirigane, with a continuous landscape, showing a river which winds between hills, the banks planted with bamboo and flowering shrubs, one side decorated with a house.
The interior is in Nashiji lacquer and fundame.
It is accompanied by a gold lacquer manju adorned with three medallions on different backgrounds, adorned with floral motifs or cranes. Signed Kosai.
Cylindrical ojime in sentoku decorated with vegetal scrolls en suite with the manju.
