Our opinion :
The pair of consoles that we are presenting features an asymmetrical rococo decoration characteristic of the beginning of the reign of Louis XV.
The finesse of the sculpture and the oak wood refer us to a Parisian workshop active in the first part of the 18th century.
If the majority of these small consoles were produced to present small objects, our model, of larger dimensions, was probably used to support porcelain vases or statuary.
