Pair of big alabaster vases, Italy, 1st half 18th century

The vases extremely rare have a baluster shape and are richly decorated with foliage and acanthus. The foot is multiple and decorated, the shoulder has a band of peripheral foliage with mounted and fire-gilded handles. The collar ends with a collar overflowing with foliage in the form of a cascade. Wohl Rom oder Neapel um 1730. Considering their age and extremely fragile material, the vases are very well preserved. There are some later filled tension cracks and one foot was probably consolidated and partially filled after damage.
