A rare Louis XVI period mahagony, ebony and ivory tric - trac table, on four tapered fluted legs terminated by feet. The table opens with for drawers and has three removable game plates decorated with the games such as "jeu de l'oie, Nain Jaune, le jeu de cavagnole, jeu de l'Hymen" on both sides. Its double face plate is furnished by chess, checkers and roulette game on one side and with felt on the second one.
The table has a full set of chess game, checkers game and 30 tric - trac chips, two leather cups, a set of game of dice, two candle holders.
A similar table was sold the 29th-30th November 1976 lot 249, Palais Galliera (see Denise Ledoux-Lebard, Les ébénistes du XIXe siècle, 1795 - 1889, leurs oeuvres et leurs marques, les éditions de l'amateur 1984, p. 87 ill. p. 85 and the cover page).
