Empire period mahogany writing table

Writing table, mahogany and mahogany veneer on all sides.

The belt is carried by 4 feet, two of which are at the front forming neoclassical columns, ending in gilt bronze pilasters decorated with cherubs.
Resting on a mahogany base.
It opens with a frieze drawer.

Very beautiful ornamentation of bronzes gilded with mercury and finely chiseled, such as: oil lamp on the side, stylized palmettes, and central octagonal target decorated with lotus flowers.

Note: entirely built on an oak base before mahogany and mahogany veneer, very beautiful cabinet work.
Sits on four original casters, making it easy to move around a room.

Original lock.
Black leather decorated with gold fretwork.
This piece of furniture is 100% original, restored by our workshops.

Rare model of beautiful cabinetmaking, which undoubtedly leads us to think that this work must have come from the workshops of Jacob DESMALTER.
