Vase in majolica of Castel-Durante, workshop of Simone da Colonello around

Piriform vase on pedestal in majolica of Castel- Durante with decoration of horizontal bands on funds alternatively green, ochre, blue,
friezes of cherubs and grotesques heads; frieze of chimeras or sphinxes leaning or facing;
shield charged with a lion standing on its hind legs with the initials G and F on each side;
frieze of trophies of arms, foot decorated with leaves and fruits, neck decorated with leaves and flowers in cartouches.
Workshop of maestro Simone da Colonello. Circa 1560-1565.
Height : 35 cm.
Pieces restuck to the foot.
Vases from the same series with the same coat of arms and the initials GF are dated 1562 (Musée du Louvre, Philadelphia Museum).
